MESSAGE*

Greetings of peace to the residents and officials of Zone 2, Barangay Fort Bonifacio, my brothers and sisters in Christ! May the blessings and protection of our good Lord be with us all as we celebrate the Feast Day of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary!

Thanks to the mercy of God our religious commitment is strong and widely spread. I praise God for your fervent devotion to Our Lady of the Rosary, which is most opportune for the needs of these times. Truly, there is no better means to confidently implore the august Mother of God for help in the fortification of our faith than praying the Holy Rosary. Within it lies the awesome story of our salvation. With it we meditate the mysteries of joy, of sorrow and the glory of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Through this perfect prayer we invoke the Blessed Virgin in our aspiration for peace and the grace of strengthening our society.

As in the encyclical of Pope Pius XII, Ingruentium Malorum, “[May we] not hesitate to affirm again publicly that [w]e put great confidence in the Holy Rosary for the healing of evils which afflict our times. Not with force, not with arms, not with human power, but with Divine help obtained through the means of this prayer, strong like David with his sling, the Church undaunted shall be able to confront the infernal enemy, repeating to him the words of the young shepherd: ‘Thou comest to me with a sword, and a spear, and with a shield; but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of Hosts, the God of armies . . . and all this assembly shall know that the Lord saveth not with sword and spear, for this is his battle, and he will deliver you into our hands’ (I Kings 17, 45-47).”

With Divine assistance, I pray that your collective work to advocate the diligent recitation of the Holy Rosary shall enkindle among our people the zeal and renewed commitment to living and active faith.

Thank you and may the Lord’s graces be upon us all!

*drafted this for the boss's signature. wanted to post it here since i heard from the sec that the boss tore this apart. i wonder why.

then i realized, she denounced her catholic faith when she married the sen.

i "bleed" for the Blessed Virgin.

i am posting it now not for anything but to honor the Mother of God. yesterday at mass, the Italian priest who gave the homily told of Padre Pio's devotions. He said no one knows how many times Padre Pio prayed the rosary. He would recite it whenever people asked for graces from the Lord and requested him for prayers.

everybody knows how effective Padre Pio's intercession is, as many would attest.

when he was alive, the Capucchin priest always tells the devotees that they would not receive grace from God unless they pray the rosary.

i wish more Catholics would recite this wonderful prayer daily.
