happy new year!!! It's a nice picture of Kyoto! You seem to have had eventful new years days.
As for me, I had a Christmas party on the Eve and ate lots of delicious stuff. We did "secret santa". I got a nice anthology of modern Irish and British poetry and a beautiful cup my friend made by herself. She is an artist.
For new year's days, I was back in my hometown, where it was snowing most of the time. It's a good quiet place, but there was one problem: I couldn't find nice beer, wine, and whisky.... I could find conventional ones, but just them.... I'll email to you some of the photos soon.
Your New Year seem to be just as eventful desu yo. Hehe.
I forgot to indicate the proper attribution, the picture was actually downloaded from the New York Times website.
All the “delicious / sinful foods” were on the table during the holidays. I, too, had my fill. Now I’m trying to lose the excess kilos I gained. I will surely be able to maximize my membership to the gym this month. Hahaha.
What’s “secret santa?”
Could you post the Irish and British poetry in your blog? Would love to read them, myself. :P
Secret Santa works like this. Friends have a meeting before the planned Christmas party. Write one's name on a piece of paper and fold it so that your names wouldn't be shown. Put them in a box or something. Then each of us choose one like a lottery. You will buy a present for the person whose name is written on the paper you chose. And make it secret to whom you get a present till the actual Christmas party. This is a lot of fun.
About poetry...I can't post them on the web due to the copyright issue. I'll email some to you or give you links if they are available on the net. The book contains hundreds of poems.
"secret santa" sounds so fancy i thought it was something else. hehe. of course, of course! i should have guessed. we do the same thing here in rp. hehe.
will be waiting for the link to / copy of the poems.
