I choose compassion.

"Eventually, we become what we choose. If we choose stinginess, we become stingy. If we choose compassion, we become compassionate."

Thanks to Tita Cita for always reminding me about the summation of God's teachings: that is, to love God with all our heart, mind and soul; and to love others as we love ourselves.

In my latest "session" with her, she made me realize how important a single soul is for God. he gave His life for one soul. What rushed to my mind is the parable of the lost sheep and the parable of the lost coin when she said that. She is right. It's in the scriptures.

She also told me to give importance to my family and friends. They should be (among) my topmost consideration. She said that before I decide (to enter the convent) when things have become clearer, I must make sure that my relationships are all well-- especially with that of my family. She made me understand that before I go for any mission, my first mission is my family. Then, my friends and love ones.

Amen.

So, I am trying to reconcile with everyone and make amends for all my shortcomings.

May God help me.

Indeed, there are difficult people- but most often, if not always, they are the ones who are in most need of our love and attention.

Lord Jesus, help me to be compassionate.
